Bread-Spreads for Breakfast
“Mett”
For 1 kg you need: 0,13 kg of Rice cake, 0,39 l of water, 0,13 l water of Pickles, 0,1 kg of onions, 0,13 kg of Tomato Paste, 0,13 kg of Pickles, Salt and Pepper.
Preparation: Crumble the rice cake, curt the pickles and onions (in very small pieces). Add the water (also the water of the pickles) and the tomato paste. Put in salt and pepper. Mix it all with a spoon.
Chocolate-Nut
For 1 kg you need 0,5 kg coconut oil (hardened), 0,3 kg hazel nuts (ground), 0,2 kg of cocoa powder and 0,2 kg of sugar.
Preparation: Melt the coconut oil (-fat/ – butter), mix it all, let it cool down.
Tomato Butter
For 1 kg you need 0,45 kg of tomato paste, garlic as you like (1/4 of a garlic bulb), 0,55 kg margarine and salt.
Preparation: Melt the margarine a little, cut the garlic, mix everything with an immersion blender.
Onion-Apple
For 1 kg you need 0,4 kg of coconut Oil (hardened), 0,18 l sunflower oil, 0,16 kg of onion, 0,3 kg of apples, 1/5 of a garlic bulb, marjoram, bell pepper powder, savory and caraway seeds.
Preparation: Cut onions and apples and fry the with the oil. Add garlic and the other spices. Add coconut oil, let it melt, stir everything and let it cool down.
Carrot-Tomato
For 1 kg you need 0,3 kg of margarine, 0,4 kg of carrots, 0,16 kg og onions, 0,14 kg of tomato paste, 2 teaspoons of thyme, 1 teaspoon of oregano and 1 teaspoon of rosemary.
Preparations: Cut the onions and fry them in 4 tablespoons of margarine. Add all the other ingredients and lit it simmer for 10 minutes. Finally, add salt and pepper and mash it all with an immersion blender.
Curry-Lentils
For 1 kg you need 0,185 kg of red lentils, 0,2 kg of onions, 0,6 l of water, 2 teaspoons of curry powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 cloves of crushed garlic.
Preparation: In a medium saucepan combine the lentils, onions and water. Cover it up and bring it to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until lentils are soft. Puree lentils in a food processor or blender. Toast curry powder and cumin seeds in a small frying pan over medium heat until fragrant. Add cayenne, oil and garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute. Stir spice mixture into lentils and serve.
Tofu-Herbs
You need 0,3 kg of natural tofu, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 4 tablespoons of oil, 1 clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, parsley, chives, dill and whatever you like,….
Preparation: Cut tofu and garlic. mash it with all the other ingredients with an immersion blender until it is creamy.
