Experience with us ‘The journey to other perspectives’ and get to know the new intersectional educational method. Reflect with us on colonial continuities, racism, migration and resistance against these conditions.
Since April 2023, the Sudanese military has been waging war against the paramilitary militia RSF in Sudan, millions of people are on the run and the country has been completely overthrown.
At the same time, racism, racist and xenophobic stereotypes and prejudices are still prevalent in the EU and Germany. Right-wing populist narratives are omnipresent, especially in the current debate on flight and migration.
In the same year, 2023, we worked with people from two migrant communities in Berlin, namely Sudan and Chile, to develop a method box for political education work against racism, including post-colonial migrant perspectives. It deals with the continuities of colonialism that strongly characterise their countries of origin and the effects that we can see in these countries, but also here in Europe. Wars, flight, colonialism, racism, racist and xenophobic stereotypes and prejudices are the main themes of this educational method.
As part of this project, we now want to implement the educational method with different target groups in Berlin and introduce at least four people to the application of the method.
